When I was at the spa, every meal was beautifully presented, nutritious, and delicious, and fit into the mild and reasonable schedule of daily activities organized by the spa. After the spa experience, I went back home looking rested, radiant, vibrant, and slim. Single men have a huge advantage: They have a lot of time.

Indeed, when you are single, you would be well-advised to spend your time wisely by investing in quality time with yourself.

That’s absolutely true.

Some people tend to overeat when they are single because food is comfort – it’s so natural to enjoy good food. But overeating keeps you constantly stuck in a dead past or unknown future and the only now in life is the instant gratification of food. Several years ago, I was made redundant due to the pandemic, most of my colleagues at that time felt tremendous grief because the loss of a good career was painful. Consequently, they were stuck in a dead past as if they were still waiting for that career to come back. Further examination shows that overeating was also a form of self-punishment as if they were blaming themselves for the loss. Oftentimes it takes a while to fully accept that something is truly dead and will never come back. We just have to accept this fact, although we don’t know what to do next yet.

I prefer healthful foods and I don’t overeat. I would never be a vegetarian and nobody can make me feel bad about that. I’m proud to be a meat eater. My breakfast is ginger and lemongrass tea, scrambled eggs, and bread; my lunch is a vegetable and fruit smoothie and a sandwich; my dinner is fish, rice, and peppermint tea. I give myself permission to consume tea and smoothies as much as I wish because these are healthy drinks.

  • The power of physical exercise:

Body confidence can’t be achieved by diet alone. You also need some physical exercise. My favorite exercise is jogging because this activity gives me physical fulfillment. Now I’m a daily jogger. I don’t watch my weight anymore as I jog long enough every day in order to burn excess calories in time.

For a very long time, I got enough physical exercise by working in retail. Because the retail work required a lot of walking and standing for hours, I had sufficient exercise 5 days a week, which gave me good energy when I sat in front of the computer after work (I have been a freelance writer for more than twenty years).

According to an international dating expert and life coach, the fastest way to improve body confidence is to do more physical exercise – this is more important than diet because exercise helps you sleep better, too. And sleep is another key pillar of your health and well-being.

  • Let’s be practical.

During the pandemic, many people lost their careers because of redundancy. As a consequence, they are stuck in an imagined future. In order to distract themselves from the emptiness and grief in life, they start to imagine that one day they will be wildly famous and successful & live in a mansion.

No matter what, we have to be practical. Don’t tell anyone that you are going to try a new diet or a new exercise because the secret to success is the keyword ‘secret’ – when others don’t know your plan, they can’t judge you or your plan. Just pursue your new fitness plan, career change, international dating goal, and self-actualization in private, and then track your journey to success.
